Ramsey Canyon Fire Evacuations - (Photo) - 08/22/2018
White City, Ore - A new fire started this afternoon in the Ramsey Canyon area of Sam’s Valley Multiple fire resources are in the area and working in the unforgiving terrain.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 2 “Be Set” evacuation notice for the Ramsey Canyon Fire.
The following is a complete list of evacuations for the Ramsey Canyon Fire. Level 2 “Be Set.”
East Evans Creek Rd., from West Fork Evans Creek Rd beginning with the address 16840 to Antioch Rd ending at the address 22185; Meadows Rd, proceeding south from East Evans until the address 16840 Meadows Rd.; Ramsey Rd., beginning at the address 13469 and proceeding north to the Meadows Rd. intersection.
A LEVEL 2 evacuation means “BE SET” to evacuate. This level indicates there is significant danger to your area, and residents should either voluntarily relocate to a shelter or with family/friends outside of the affected area, or if choosing to remain, to be ready to evacuate at a moment’s notice. Residents MAY have time to gather necessary items, but doing so is at their own risk.
THIS MAY BE THE ONLY NOTICE THAT YOU RECEIVE. Emergency services cannot guarantee that they will be able to notify you if conditions rapidly deteriorate. Area media services will be asked to broadcast periodic updates.
