Burnout
operations continue to be conducted on the Grave Creek Fire, Taylor Creek Fire
and Pleasant Creek Fire. Burnout means setting fire inside a control line to
consume fuel between the edge of the fire and the control line.
Fires at night
appear much larger and closer than they do in the day. Observers may notice
extensive fire where they have not seen it before. Fire fighters and equipment
will be present in strength along the newly burned areas to keep the fire
within containment lines. It is not necessary to report these burnout
operations. Wildland and structural fire fighters will continue to keep the
fire inside the control lines.
