RAMSEY CANYON FIRE EVACUATIONS - UPDATE

Update - August 29, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.:
SAMS VALLEY, Ore. – Based on the recommendation of fire officials managing the Ramsey Canyon Fire, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is reducing all remaining Level 2 “Be Set” evacuation zones to Level 1 “Be Ready.”  In the meantime, residents are advised to remain vigilant to changes in weather and fire behavior, and to monitor fire information resources.
The following is comprehensive list of all current evacuation levels related to the Ramsey Canyon Fire:

Level 1 “Be Ready”:
East Evans Creek Road, 15500 through Meadows Road; West Fork Evans Creek Road, addresses of 18504 and 18508;  Ramsey Rd., from the 11600-block through the intersection with Meadows Road; Meadows Road, from East Evans Creek Road, south to the address of 14765.
Roadblocks will be removed and National Guard troops will be demobilized soon.  Residents and motorists in the area are advised to anticipate fire traffic to continue and to drive carefully.
