National Wildfire Situiation

The Chetco Bar Fire, High Cascades Complex and Miller Complex are being managed under the backdrop of many other large incidents across the western United States.  At this time, we are at Planning Level 5 (PL-5); this means that there is a full commitment of national resources and that the potential for emerging significant wildland fires is high and expected to remain high in multiple geographic areas.

The map below shows current large incidents and the types of resources that are committed to them. For daily updates on current large incidents nationally, visit the National Interagency Fire Center's (NIFC) website. For the daily Situation Report, visit this page.
