Lightning Results in Nine New Starts

The lightning overnight August 6- 7, 2017, resulted in nine new starts with-in the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest region.

Of the nine new starts, six of them were .10 acre with two fully lined by noon today. There are four with resources on scene and one is not easily accessed, firefighters are seeking a route into this fire.

Two of the fires are .25 acres, one is contained and the other has resources on scene.

The largest measured 2 acres and currently has 3 engines, one crew module and a dozer on scene.
